The British Franchise Association Awards
In a year like no other, many businesses have had to change their approach to awards and events and with over 30 businesses involved in the BFA awards, including franchise giants like McDonalds, Costa and KFC, this was going to be a huge shift in approach.
The BFA were taking their awards fully digital and approached us to complete video interviews for each franchise to form the key visuals for their virtual event.
We put forward a concept using simply styled sets with one or two key props to ensure the nominee’s stories would take centre stage.
Shooting took place at CliQQ Studios over the course of a week. We worked with the client to plan an efficient production schedule allowing us to create the required video and stills content for all 34 interviews in just four days.
Dorset Cereals Breakfast on the Slow
In another fantastic shoot for the delicious breakfast brand we put together the crew, found the location and shot and colour graded the footage based on the clients brief, ready to hand off to the talented team at 032 Design for the edit.
The project involved both stills and video based around the concept of ‘breakfast on the slow’. Cue lots of beautiful slow motion shots of granola tumbling into a bowl. We facilitated a remote video feed so the designer could view and direct the shoot from the comfort of his home.
Lawsuit We are United collection
Founded by Creative Director Ketih Gray and Design Director Matthew McDermott, Lawsuit is a culturally relevant and responsive street sportswear brand.
The pair have previously worked with the likes of Umbro, Puma, Issey Myake, Nike, Adidas, and Kanye West on his apparel brand Yeezy so we were very excited to be asked to photograph their We are United collection.
The concept for this was the Youth Guide to becoming a Liberatian Warrior. Keith was inspired by hand drawn military uniform posters so we brought an illustrative feel to the images and lighting.
Lawsuit also donate 10% of all sales to Kick It Out, English football’s equality & inclusion organisation who work to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and campaign for positive change. Find out more, and see the rest of the images on their website.
Bringing a bit of sparkle
While it’s unlikely many of us will be going out this Christmas, it wouldn’t be the festive season without a bit of glitz and glamour. That was the brief for this Christmas fashion shoot for Platinum Magazine. Fortunately we have some brilliant locations on our doorstep, including this perfect restaurant just round the corner from the studio.
Here is a look at the setup for the British Franchise Awards videos. We chose to shoot this in our studio for several reasons. Firstly, Colchester was in a very low risk area for the virus at the time of shooting. Secondly, we were able to be more cost effective by avoiding hiring a large London studio. And thirdly, we could use our in-house crew to keep the number of people on set down to the absolute minimum.
There are plenty more BTS images from our more elaborate shoots here. Fashion, celebrities, food… it’s all in there!
We hope you all have a lovely Christmas and look forward to hearing from you in the New Year.
The CliQQ team.
